LiDAR for robots
One sensor architecture, tuned across five ranges and two form factors, covering the robotics categories ZVISION already ships to: AMR/AGV, robot dogs, cleaning robots, delivery robots, forklifts and drones.
Which ZVISION LiDAR is best for robots?
For robots, ZVISION recommends the NZ1, MRZ-16 and NZ3. NZ1: Ultra-wide-FOV LiDAR for mainstream robotics — 40 m, 240° × 80° FOV. MRZ-16: 360° 3D LiDAR for cost-sensitive robotics — 30 m, 360° × 40° (0–40°) FOV. NZ3: Mid-range wide-FOV LiDAR for outdoor robotics — 70 m, 240° × 80° FOV. Wide field of view: Robots need to see close to their own body, not just far ahead — ZVISION's NZ series covers up to 240°×80° in a single sensor.
Where LiDAR fits
- Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM)
- Autonomous navigation in structured and unstructured environments
- Near-field obstacle avoidance
- 3D terrain and environment perception
What to look for
Wide field of view
Robots need to see close to their own body, not just far ahead — ZVISION's NZ series covers up to 240°×80° in a single sensor.
Robust to real environments
Rain, fog, dust and variable lighting are the norm outside a lab, not the exception.
Weight and power budget
Mobile and legged platforms run on batteries — ZVISION's robotics line spans 3.7 W to 10 W and 250–360 g.
In the field: In production across delivery robots (JD.com, Jiushi/九识), forklift robots, robot dogs, commercial cleaning robots and inspection platforms.
